Contrary to the exciting title, we made a pretty boring (and the longest yet) video of the hedge planting we did at the mill this holiday season. The plants are quite hard to see and there is a lot of questionable talking. Sorry in advance if you do watch it! I'm really selling it here, but do watch it please! Than you can give us feedback on how to make our videos more interesting!
If your answer is: "do more interesting things", we're on it... we're hoping that the next video will be better, but unfortunately longer. We already have a lot of material from the construction of our greenhouse. It'll have to come in two parts. Twice the fun!
The grand total of trees planted in 2022 is about 333!!!
We planted 102 whitethorns (hawthorns) in spring, and in December we bought another 300ish, of which we planted about 231. Some potted plants are left over, as well as a few bareroots. We stuck them in some sand for now, as we were sooooo tired after 5 days of planting in this horrendous weather, especially once we got to the stony sections.
We planted: Whitethorn, Blackthorn, Wild Cherry, Crabapple, Spindle, Honeysuckle, Holly, Dog Rose, Gilder Rose, Hazel, Birch and Willow.
